alright, so as you know, I was picked for a modern ensemble piece. I go to rehearsals at the end of the week which is a good thing. anyways, I've been to 2 rehearsals so far and we got about a minute and a half done. the song we dance to is called "White is in the Winter Night" by Enya. it's a Christmas song to go along with the upcoming holiday. it's a pretty cool song that's fun to dance to except the steps are kinda fast, so you have to really know the dance. so the first rehearsal was good except for one thing. the teacher was giving all of us specific "personalities" to act as during the piece. when she looks at me, she automatically said that I was "the silly one". yeah that's no so bad, but then she said that I had to be the only one wearing these stupid glasses. they are the kind that have the big nose and mustache connected to them. if you don't know what glasses I'm talking about then go to this website: http://www.bobpiper.co.uk/nose-moustache-glasses.jpg . I mean, it wouldn't be so bad if everyone had to wear them, but it was just me! no one else had "anything special" to wear! grrr..... but luckily on the second rehearsal, the teacher thought about it and said that the "personalities" didn't really seem like a good idea. THANK GOD! way to scare me to death! I was about to drop out of the piece! thoughts of the photo shoot and the performance made me so stressed out! yeeeesh! well, I guess I'm very lucky. the costume now is a skirt with pompoms on the bottom and a purple Santa hat. so everything turned out all right in the end. phew!
